Stem Repairs

Stem-Patch Combination Repairs

The stem-patch is the ultimate tire repair of choice for quality high performance tire repair including standard automobile to commercial truck tires. The Stem Patch offers a vulcanizing rubber stem and cap unit that vulcanizes to both the injury and the inner liner of the tire. The built in lead wire makes installation simple. The repair is equipped to withstand straight through punctures and injuries up to 25 degree off center. It utilizes a rubber reinforced body that vulcanizes to the tires inner liner combined with a vulcanizing rubber stem that bonds around the injury cavity. This performs an air tight seal to protect the tire’s body plies from moisture and contaminants entering around the stem plug.

*Stem repairs are also available with a quill instead of a lead wire

* PASSENGER AND lT TIRE REPAIR CROWN 0NLV(T-T) (INJURV MUST BE FILLED WITH APPROPRIATE FILLER MATERIAL)

Tires with speed rating of H, V, W, Y or Z are repairable in the (T-T} crown area not to exceed 1/4″ (6mm} or one injury per tire to maintain their speed rating designation. Run flat tires maintain the same limitation as the performance tire except multiple nail hole repairs may be performed unless it is in the same radial cord or where repair units overlap. Performance tires are repairable beyond the shoulder area; the speed rating is then reduced below an H rating. Note: Repair of Performance tire should not exceed or supersede limitation of the new tire manufacturer’s recommendations. Repairs with * are not for tube repair.
